ANNOUNCING OUR FOURTH ANNUAL BRA DRIVE

Premier Plastic Surgery Center of New Jersey is hosting its fourth annual “Bra Drive” to benefit women in need.  New and lightly used bras can be dropped off at the office of Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS, located at 310 Madison Avenue, Suite 100, Morristown.  The cutoff date for collection is October 31, 2014.

If the donated bra is new, the tags should be left on.  Gently used bras need to be laundered.  All sizes and styles of bras are needed, including post-surgery and maternity bras.  All garments need to be in good condition, with functional clasps and straps.

In past years bras have been donated to Dress for Success of Mercer and Morris Counties, and we were able to provide hundreds of bras to women impacted by Super Storm Sandy.  After local donations of usable bras, the remaining items are sent to The Bra Recyclers, a textile recycling company that distributes bras around the United States and abroad to women and girls in transition.  The Arizona-based firm notes that bras are one of the most requested items in shelters and transitional program.  The firm’s annual Bra Recycling Month ties into October’s traditional observance of breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness.
