This 41 year old female originally presented following an umbilical hernia repair by another surgeon which resulted in a significant deformity of her umbilicus (belly button). Dr. Brian Glatt corrected her abdominal contour and performed a complete umbilical reconstruction of her belly button in two stages. First an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) was done with some liposuction to her flanks. Her umbilicus was removed during this procedure in order to start over and create a new one. At a second stage, a new umbilicus was reconstructed from her surrounding tissue. Final results are shown one year after surgery.
