Northern New Jersey Gynecomastia Treatment

Many men suffer from an excess of breast tissue, a condition known as gynecomastia.  While roughly half of men have gynecomastia, the cause of this condition is not known.  Some men outgrow it, while others may have it for the remainder of their lives.  Some only experience it in one breast, while others experience it in both breasts; gynecomastia can be mild or extremely pronounced.  While this does not pose any health risks, most men with gynecomastia experience embarrassment and are extremely self-conscious due to this condition.  Many refuse to go without a shirt and wear baggy clothes to hide their excess breast tissue.

To correct gynecomastia, a male breast reduction is performed.  Often, liposuction may be all that is required, however, in some cases, removal of excess tissue and fat may  be required.  Either of these procedures is performed as a same day surgery with minimal incisions and little scarring.  Don’t continue to suffer in silence.  Contact the Morristown office of Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS at 973-889-9300 to schedule a consultation to explore the options of gynecomastia correction.
