How Much Does Botox Cost?

There are several different ways Botox is priced, depending on which office a patient visits.

One method is a charge per area treated, such as a set amount for the glabella (the area between the eyebrows), forehead or around the eyes (crow’s feet”).  This method does not take each patient’s individual needs into consideration.  It is highly unlikely that every patient would need the same amount of Botox in an area to achieve the desired result.  This method often results in a patient receiving a lesser amount of Botox, which may be less effective and require more frequent visits.

Another common price structure of Botox is to charge by the syringe.  If a syringe contains 25 units and a patient requires 35 units for adequate treatment, the only choice would be to undertreat with one syringe or overpay for two syringes.

At Premier Plastic Surgery Center of New Jersey, Botox is priced based on the number of units used.  Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS performs a thorough examination of each Botox patient prior to treatment.   A customized map is created of each patient’s face indicating the exact number of units of Botox required for treatment.  Once this is determined, this is then translated into the total cost. Using this method, each patient pays for the amount of Botox needed to smooth out the targeted areas.

Botox is a highly effective treatment which acts by relaxing the muscles targeted by the injection.  When the muscles are relaxed, in a resting state, the lines normally produced cease to exist thereby smoothing out the targeted area.

Botox is effective in treating the lines of the forehead, between the eyebrows, around the eyes and the bands of the neck.  For additional information about Botox treatments please contact the office of Brian S.
