DR. BRIAN GLATT: One of the most crucial aspects of my practice is the complete and total care of my patients. I am very concerned with my patients knowing through and through that they are being taken care of 100% of the time. They get taken care of by me and my staff. However, when a patient calls with any kind of concern, I'm available to them 24 hours, 7 days a week. I don't go away after surgery, and when they call and they need to speak to me, that's exactly who they get. I like my patients to be very well prepared for surgery. I like them to know exactly what's going to happen to them.

You will get all of your post-operative prescriptions beforehand. You can have your post-operative instructions beforehand. In this way, you're very well prepared for what the recovery period is going to be like. You have your prescriptions ready and waiting for you when you get home, and it just makes for a more pleasant process.
