Botox and Injectable Fillers for Men

Botox and injectable fillers for men at Premier Plastic Surgery Center of New Jersey, located in Morristown, is the second in a series of four articles exploring male cosmetic procedures and treatments offered by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS.

The practice of Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS has always included a number of male patients, but in the past few years, Premier Plastic Surgery Center of New Jersey has seen a great increase in the number of men seeking cosmetic plastic surgery to enhance their appearance.  The need to look and feel younger has led many men to change their attitudes about exercise and diet, and they are now seeking professional skin care services, Botox and non-invasive injectable filler treatments, as well as cosmetic surgery procedures (plastic surgery).  Our Morristown, NJ location provides a discreet and private setting for men to feel comfortable undergoing treatment and discussing their plastic surgical goals.  Below are just a few of the many options available to our male clientele.

Injectable fillers, such as JuvedermXC, Sculptra and Radiesse, are non-surgical procedures that can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases, diminish fine wrinkles and restore volume to empty cheeks.  Fillers are also used as a temporary solution for those who would benefit from a facelift but want to postpone surgery.  One of the earliest signs of aging is a loss of facial volume and the development of wrinkles.  Sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle also contribute to changes associated with aging.  Masking the aging process by softening of facial lines and the restoration of volume and fullness in the face often can be achieved non-surgically with injectable fillers.  In addition, fat grafting may be utilized to restore additional amount of volume.

Botox (botulinum toxin) is a popular non-surgical option that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet around the eyes and bands in the neck. Botox works by blocking nerve impulses thereby temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also shown that Botox is effective in relieving or reducing the frequency of migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

If you would like to restore facial contours, or reduce the appearance of lines and creases, injection therapy with Botox, soft tissue fillers or fat grafting may be right for you. To schedule an appointment to discuss these non-invasive treatments or any other cosmetic procedure, contact the office of Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S.
