NJ Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy
If you are faced with a new diagnosis of breast cancer or in the case of a prophylactic mastectomy one fact remains constant. It is in your best interest that information regarding the availability of breast reconstruction be provided early, certainly well before undergoing a mastectomy.
The key to receiving this information is to assemble a team of physicians that include your primary care physician, gynecologist, breast surgeon, oncologist or radiation oncologist and a Board Certified plastic surgeon. This group of medical professionals, working in concert with you, will assure you of coordinated care and help you to explore all treatment options available, resulting in the most beneficial outcome.
Not every woman who undergoes a mastectomy opts for breast reconstruction; some choose to wear an external prosthesis inside their bra. However, each year tens of thousands of mastectomy patients in the United States choose to have breast reconstruction as a part of their recovery. The best way to explore your options is to consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience with breast reconstruction prior to undergoing a mastectomy.
The decision to have breast reconstruction is a personal one. Become well informed, trust your team, and remain proactive. The decision to undergo breast reconstruction requires careful consideration, but the choice is yours and yours alone to make.
To schedule an appointment to discuss your options with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS, please call our Morristown office at 973-889-9300.

New Jersey Breast Lift
Many women, particularly later in life, after weight loss, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, find themselves dissatisfied with their breasts. All of these factors, as well as genetics, contribute to causing breasts to sag. While there is no one answer for each woman, many have chosen to undergo a Breast Lift procedure (mastopexy) to lift and firm their breasts. Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Brian S. Glatt, MD, FACS has helped many Morristown area women in their quest to restore a more youthful appearance to their breasts.
During a Breast Lift procedure the breast tissue is shaped and lifted to improve both the position and contour of the breasts. Excess breast skin may also be removed, and in some cases, the areola may be reshaped or reduced.
If you are interested in learning more about how Breast Lift surgery may benefit you, contact our Morristown office today at 973-889-9300 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Glatt.
